Well folks, I made it to seven months. I love my locks still. They are thickening up, I think some of my relaxed ends are falling out, Is this normal. I desperately want to color. I experimented in self-retightening, times are hard and money is tight. Hope I didn't mess anything up. Hope every one had a good holiday and a blessed new year.

My Bantu experience

Well readers, I made my way down to Atlanta, and all the glam that was here when I visited, has turned into some incredible realism.. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world though. Because of my big move I decided to do something different with my hair, so I had my friend do me up some bantu knots, I provided pics for visual pleasure..

until next time, keep luvin ciara

moving to atlanta/ 5 month mark

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting or returning...

I've been so busy lately, im moving to atlanta on friday ! so i'm running around like crazy trying to get everything taken care of... I have a job and I have been admitted to school.. finally, I work on living arrangements. I'm excited to be leaving though cleveland winter sucks horribly!!!

10/20 was the five month mark of my sisterlocks. I haven't had any trouble with them hardly, my hair just likes to try and combine at the root. People still don't realize that I have locks, its probably because of all this relaxed hair!! I'm being patient although I think my hair is growing relatively quickly..

As a gift to my two bff's, I got a tattoo that represented each one. my fire and my heart... unfortunately my heart will be left in ohio, but I promise I'll write.. lol....

until next time yall, keep luvin ciara...

my journey to lockhood....

Hello everyone, I'm Ciara and I want to welcome you to my page.. My sisterlocks are just under 5 months old, and I absolutely adore them. It is by far my best hair decision.. the process too them is a long story however.. ya got time?

I was dating this guy for about 5 years and we finally washed our hands of eachother, I decided to find some way to officially emancipate myself. At this time I had shoulder length relaxed hair, I went to the hair salon, I told the stylist 2 words, cut off..

In a matter of minutes, my hair was down at my feet and I felt free, for about a year, I continued to cut my hair, and experiment with some weaving. I grew tired of this because it called for frequent visits to the hair salon. I always wanted locks, but I did not desire to cut all my hair off, or wait for the 2 inches of new growth. So, I researched natural hair and found a loctician and she introduced me to sisterlocks. I had never heard of them before, we had an consultation and it was no turning back.. It took about 26 hours to install them I love my babies!!

Ive included pics of me during the installation process as well as what I look like now..

thanx for stopping by, until next time keep luvinciara....
